Mercedes-Benz has informed Rpk S Cooperativa that it has been awarded the contract to supply an assembly for the rear hatch opening system for the new S-Class, project BR223.
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class, formerly known as Sonderklasse German for “special class” and abbreviated as “S-Klasse”, is a series of luxury flagship vehicles produced by the German automaker in Sindelfingen, Germany. This includes its latest drive systems such as a hybrid motor or in the near future 100% electric powered to enable the company to compete in this segment with the Tesla S-Class. This vehicle will be assembled in Sindelfingen on the outskirts of Stuttgart.
This contract is worth 1 Million Euros for the Vitoria Cooperative and this will be manufactured in its Vitoria facilities in a new wire-forming unit renovated in 2015 in an aim to incorporate large-scale projects such as this. The latest cutting edge technology will be used in the production process.
We hope that this is to be the first contract in a long and fruitful relationship between both companies.
